This week Danielle wrote a beautiful post on unplugging that really resonated. I adore living a connected life but living inside of experiences instead of taking photos and tweeting about what I'm experiencing? It's a beautiful little reality check for the “personal blogger who loves to share everything” headspace that I tend to live in. (kr)

“It’s getting warmer out as winter slowly creeps away and summer gets into full swing. A great way to celebrate the coming fun with a refreshing tea made with the warmth of the summer sun! AND you know it’s healthy and has no processed ingredients! Yum!”

Every now and then, the capacity for people to love really amazes me. If I had a child in the hospital, I doubt my reaction would be to think about how I could put more energy out into the world, but photographer Ashley Ann used her time by her daughters bed to rally her family around making bracelets to send to orphans in Russia through the project Craft Hope. This picture from her post broke my heart and made it swell with love all in the same moment. (kr)

Putting your creative work out into the world is scary, there are no two ways about it! I love this post that Nish submitted because its author offers you some solid rebuttals to those negative thoughts and insecurities that can stand between you and putting something beautiful into the world, from a blog post to taking a personal risk. (kr)

“It seems we are slowly becoming more creative in our endeavors to showcase art in a stylish, unique way appropriate to what we're looking at. Not only that, but it seems we are focusing on artisans themselves in medium appropriate manner – and the results are incredibly beautiful. This short film about New York Adorned brings to life the color of the characters and the sentiment of the craft, and manages to do so in black and white – stunning.”
