After two days of showings, our apartment has officially been sublet which means that we're that much closer to moving, and that much closer to being in The First House, and that much closer to having a craft central!

My new workshop will be tucked away in our second story sunroom for a sunny and warm view of the backyard and houses around us. I've been planning for fabric storage, scrapbooking table space, a place for making jewelery, and a big comfy space for knitting and tea drinking… it's going to be as charming as I can possibly make it.

I've had time to plan because I spent the first half of this week under the weather, which meant that every evening after apartment showings I have tucked up under a thick blanket, grabbed a movie and my knitting, and got down to work! My current project is a very green, very lightweight scarflette that was the result of a massive yarn run a few weeks ago. It's that same colour brightness as American Apparel gear and I think it will look amazing with summer skirts or beat up jeans.

I'm really pleased with the results, and I think I'm going to have to make the next one for myself. I have a bright blue hoodie that could use a friend.

This weekend is going to be great – I'm road tripping out of town to meet a puppy who will be mine when we move, and I'm buying a Canon Rebel…should be a quality of life improvement!
