What made you decide to use your actual name as your blog URL? from Amber
It was mostly a fluke! My initial blog – KylaBea.com – was was part craft blog, part promotion tool for old etsy shop I had, and then it started becoming personal. When I re-launched I wanted to stick with my first name because I felt like I wanted there to be a common thread between KylaBea.com & Kyla Roma.com.
Now I’m torn! I love my company name, A Little Thistle and I think it would make a super cute blog name, but I am Kyla Roma, and this is my space – so it definitely works :)

I think that as bloggers, we tend to live in a world of things that we’re excited to talk about- and what’s easier to love than your strengths? While the things we’re good at are lots of fun, I think that all of our awkward and funny moments are just as deserving of a parade as our polished corners are. They’re usually more interesting to me anyway!
So today I wanted to share some of the things that I’m unabashedly bad at, no qualifications required…
1. Patience

This past spring I opened up my blog to sponsors for a limited time- like instead of having a blog I actually run an extremely quiet public radio program. It was an interesting experiment & in the past few months my little blog has just kept growing.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to continue with ads, but in talking with the people who were kind enough to support me in the spring, it seemed like with a couple changes it could be a good fit. So after a bit of thinking & looking at my traffic, I’m going to be bringing it back. I know that ads are a funny beast, but I’m excited to work them in here in a way that works for readers & sponsors alike.

Elsie at A Beautiful Mess is hosting a really wonderful challenge to pick four simple goals for the rest of the year- but not results oriented goals, ones that will get you doing things that make you happy. Every month when I pick my goals for my inspiration & type a-ery posts I seem to focus on end results rather than the process, so I was really excited for this challenge.

There’s something about the music that I listened to when I was between high school and university that worked it’s way into my bones, and when I hear a Something Corporate song, from fun pop punk and sweeping epics, everything in me gets taken back to those days of endless maybes and lazy summers.
When Mister found tickets to the 10 year anniversary show days before it was taking place, I knew it was the perfect time & reason to go. I haven’t gone on a road trip to see a show in forever, and I can’t think of anything more summery than that! So we dropped the puppies off with Mister’s family, piled into the car & hit the road.

A while ago I did a Q & A post, and every few weeks I’m answering some of the questions you guys asked :)
Now that its been a year, how are your wallpapered cupboards holding up? Do the wash well? Any tips or tircks? I love the idea for my own kitchen, which has the same fugly melamine cabinets. from Paige
Back story: Last year I did a fast, cheap & pretty little makeover on my kitchen cabinets that was featured on Design*Sponge, and part of it involved wallpapering over our basic melamine cabinets (see it here).

I always try to make it easy to get a sense of who I am & what I’m up to no matter when you find me in my story, but I’m sure I’ve probably missed something…. so I thought it would be fun to do a Q & A post!
Is there something you’ve been wondering about? Ask me anything & I’ll get back to you soon in an answers post. :)
I’ll even start you off with a potentially little known fact about me:
