Fridays are for little sisters

This winter my (amazing, gorgeous) little sister moved to France for a semester abroad, and we don’t get her back until August! I’m missing her these days but she’s on an amazing adventure, her updates are wonderful and I’m living vicariously through her.

But it’s hasn’t been all fun and games- for instance, a little while ago she visited Monaco… but it was cloudy. From what I hear if there are clouds it’s not even worth going. I’m so glad that I’m not there! Could you imagine having to deal with that? Not on my watch, let me tell you. That’s where I draw the line.

Have a beautiful weekend…

& have a drink for all the poor folks in cloudy old boring Monaco, won’t you?

I don’t know how they suffer though, brave souls ;)

Love you Lana! <3

I have a little sister as well. I use the word “little” loosely, though, because she’s six or seven inches taller than me. However, she is exactly twenty-one months younger, and I adore her as if she were my own child. She went to Florida at the beginning of the year for a few months, and I missed her more than anyone could know. Now, she has taken a trip to North Carolina for two weeks with a boy, and I worry about her every second. I found myself plotting ways to get her to stay! (For a moment, I thought I was turning into my parents.)

Ah, well. They have to grow up sometime, I suppose.

So sweet! My little sister just finished her freshman year of college and is home for the summer and I love it! We’ll have a drink for those poor cloud-suffering souls!

What an amazing opportunity and adventure your sister is on. I can’t imagine being gone from home that long, but her current adventure in life (I jumped over to her blog) looks like it suits her very well, despite the occasional cloud.

She looks so much like Drew Barrymore in that second picture! Really uncanny!

It’s times like this I wish I had a sibling! Only child in the house, heh.

Those are just beautiful pictures. I bet she is having the time of her life!

Gosh, a semester abroad in France sounds pretty darn dreamy to me! What a wonderful experience! Wish I could go back and do that, but I really can’t complain since I did a semester in Australia. ;)

Have a fabulous weekend!!

I didn’t know you had a sister. How fun that she’s traveling – I’m jealous! I have a 1/2 sister, but since she’s 14 years older we’re not particularly close. She’s more like an aunt than a sister.

Hmm. Cloudy in Monaco, cloudy at Mt Rushmore. It seems you two have bad luck when it comes to the weather.

Aw your sister is so beautiful – but looks very different from you!!!

Hahaha, that reminds me of complaining about rain when I was on the coast of Italy. My mom was like “oh, poor you, it’s raining. While you’re IN ITALY” hahaha. Perspective ;)

I live in Seattle so I know what it’s like to live in a place that’s cloudy ALL the darn time. So cute that you and sister have a good relationship though :) My sister and I are the same way except I’m the little sister… even though I’m taller than her.

Aww, that’s gotta be so hard. I would have a really hard time being away from my little brother for that long.
