I’ve been running around working on projects & jumping from lunches to birthday parties this week (last night I was definitely out late on a ‘school’ night!), but I’ve completed one of my summer missions and I needed to share!
I’ve been on the hunt for summer nail polish colours lately, looking for a yellow and a pink that are fun and bright but that have a bit of a muted pastel vibe to them too. This week I called off the search…
*drum roll*
The yellow is Sally Hansen’s Yellow Kitty & the pink is Essie’s California Coral- I love them because they remind me of popsicles, macaroons, and sunflower bouquets :)

I love coral! (The color is currently on my toenails, and it’s called “Mango Get ‘Em” or something like that. :)
I’ve got yellow on my nails too – and it’s very fun to pair outfits with complimentary colors!!
These are the same colors I wanted to repaint my bike with! Citrus… mostly lemon & grapefruit… but with orange & lime tiny details. Right now my bike is appropriately named “Blue” but even when he’s all citrus-ed out I’ll still want to tell him “You’re my boy, Blue!”
Ooo fun! Those are great colors. They def remind me of macaroons as well! I have not done my nails yet this summer… I have the nail polish skills of a 5 yr old. No joke. It’s bad.
I love summer shades of nail polish, although I never wear them! I always end up going with my staple OPI colors…

I picked up that California Coral a couple months ago — I love it! The yellow is very sweet… I can’t seem to find a yellow that isn’t highlighter neon. I want one that’s more mustard.

I have the yellow :) The only thing I don’t like about it is I had to put on 3 coats, and it seems to “crack”. It’s not like it’s $1 nail polish. I love the tone of the yellow though :)
I love pale yellow polishes, but I’ve had a hard time finding a decent formula. There must be something extra difficult in making yellow polish, because all the ones I’ve tried have been streaky. It’s worth the extra trouble, though
Do you love the Sally Hansen brush? I bought Pedal to the Metal and Plum Luck last week and I love how easy it is to apply.

Very pretty, miss! I have been wearing the OPI color No Spain, No Gain but am about to switch to a bright pink. I like to rock the bright, bold colors in summer.

I have the california coral too! It’s a really nice color. Word of warning though(!): After about the third day of wearing it, I find that the color loses its gloss.. so you will have to get a good topcoat as well to go overtop of it to bring some shine back (if you are like me and like shiny). Also, the brush is really skinny and the application is kind of meh if you’re doing it on top of a clear basecoat… but if you use something like O.P.I ridge filler under it instead, it is amazing.

I love those two colors, especially together. I actually tried to find a shade similar to your yellow here but didn’t come across any pastel yellow, just bright yellow.
