A Secret For Now:
Mister is away on business, and whenever he leaves it always occurs to me to buy a pack of cigarettes. When I travel alone, I usually will buy a pack and smoke one or two before remembering that, no really, it’s only good when you’re addicted to nicotine. I had quit 80% of the way when I met Mister & he made it clear that I needed to quit that other 20%. I guess I’m just a bit of a rebel, but it amuses me that unless he’s out of the city it doesn’t occur to me at all.
There has been a viscous fold/flu going around The Prairies lately, and I have found out that my being sick is because my entire respiratory system is having a reaction to the cold air of The Prairies.
So I have bronchitis because my whole respiratory system is having an actual reaction to the Canadian cold. As a result? I am going to need to be on a puffer every winter to prevent me from getting so sick. I am still pushing a move to the US on my Dual Citizen husband. He is not amused.

There are some things that it just doesn’t occur to me to make at home. Cinnamon buns are among them, and I need to get on top of that. I am making these on Saturday morning when Mister is home from his business trip, so I can drink tea and have the frosting drip all over, and generally feel like I’m immeasurably awesome.
A Secret For Later:
I’m also keeping a major and massive secret from the internet over the weekend because this is not the place for a Big Reveal. But on Monday there will be news! And no, it’s not that I’m the whitest person on the planet. Thank you for your concern.

The more involved I get in the blogging world, the more I realize I can’t reveal secrets in this space. My family reads. My friends read. And if I want to keep anything from them, I cannot splurge. I don’t smoke but I am sure if I did I could only do it if the cigarette was at the end of a super elegant holder like the one pictured.

Oh, man. That is awful about the cold weather and your body physically reacting against it! I’m glad that Nova Scotia doesn’t get so cold, otherwise my weak pulmonary system would probably revolt like yours! (It doesn’t like that I went three months untreated with the whooping cough, and now reminds me every time I catch even a sniffle).

I, for some very strange and inexplicable reason, understand the desire to buy a pack of cigarettes. I never really got into smoking, though I did my fair share off and on throughout undergrad. Somehow, though, whenever I fly home to Los Angeles without my boyfriend, I am tempted to buy a pack just to sit outside my dad’s house and have a smoke. Usually, I end up buying a little bottle of tequila instead. I think it’s probably the healthier choice. ;)
Your secret made me giggle because I share the same secret. Shawn doesn’t travel much for work anymore so I usually ninja smoke when I’m out drinking with girlfriends. It’s really classy.

I love your secret, that’s pretty funny. I used to be a really light smoker, pretty much just when I was out with friends at night. I gave it up when I decided I didn’t like the way my chest felt the next morning…and spent too much money on ‘em. ;)

Wow, I love the old school cigarette holders. Bad for you but so hot with that outfit. Cinnamon rolls are my favorite too. I know some good instant ones that you just bake but a place near me makes the best ones ever.
