Friday Feature: Paper Dolls & Circuses

Every Friday features a few items from tucked away corners of the internet. And they’re not just things you can buy, so it’s safe to look – I promise.

I love street style, but I don’t follow a lot of designers.

But with photography like this I guess I’m saying I’m open to change.

{Decor8 says: Just Do It!}

Decorate has a great creativity series with tips on how to revive your imagination in the winter months, including mind mapping (as shown above).  Stream of consciousness writing where there’s no wrong answer? Sounds like my liberal arts education! I’m in!

This Boxing Day I bought season one of Mad Men for $30, and I’m in love. There is so much depth to every aspect of the show it just blows me away, and Joan is one of my favourite parts. She’s sultry and scandalous. And a paper doll. Check out the full size here.

Welcome to all my new readers, and thank you for the congratulations on the Best Design award this week at 20 Something Bloggers! I have passed all your kind wishes on to Teresa at So Chic Design (especially because my winning is kind of like winning an award for having a paypal account!) and thoroughly recommend you consider her if you’re looking at a redeisgn. She’s affordable & talented as heck. What more do we need in life?

Have a good weekend!

the first picture is absolutely gorgeous! I’ve always had a thing about skirts/dresses like that. Only because when I walk, I want them to look just like that… but they don’t. :[

& damn, those guy could break it down! I wanna watch it again! ;]

(Love the feature, too, by the way!)

I’m so glad you’re going to do this each week :) I’ve enjoyed last week’s and was hoping you’d do it again!

That mind mapping idea is great! I don’t really follow high fashion either, but some of the photography is absolutely stunning.

Have a good weekend! xoxo

Congrats on the award! When I was little, I use to LOVE those paper dolls! Just for the mere joy of dressing them in a variety of things.

Congratulations on your award. I am headed over to find out how to revive my imagination, sounds like it would be right up my liberal arts background alley as well. Thanks for sharing!

Omigosh… those guys are great. I’m thinking 20sb’ers should all learn that dance and perform it up at the meet up. Too dorky? Okay, I may just do this on my own…

I just started watching “Mad Men” last week and love it so far. Joan is definitely the best character – she’s fun, interesting, and oh so sultry. That paper doll is fantastic!
