A Very Indie Christmas Mix

The past few days I’ve been getting into the grooves of Christmas, giving into the cold, buying a real tree, altering dog snowsuits, and hosting friends over at our house – but I’ve been lacking a sound track that I can really get into. So, being the relentless mix tape enthusiast that I am, I made my own and had to share it.

My streaming solutions will most likely not work in an RSS reader so hop on over to the site, press play on one of the tracks and play through the mix on the controller that pops up!

Ooh ooh and I love No Use For A Name’s cover of “Fairytale of New York”. We used to cover that song too when I was in my little high school punk band lol:)

How fun! I can’t wait to download these! (Already have the Sufjan one… how magical!)

I am also curious about that picture. Is that your tree topper? She’s gorgeous! I must know where she came from.

Ooo you might hate me for this, but I can’t say I’m into Christmas music this year. Only because the majority of it is continuously recycled and it’s played everywhere.

But…your play list looks A LOT better than what I keep hearing!

Aw, Kyla… this sounds like an amazing mix. :]

There is one song I think you might like, but for the life of me I can’t remember who sings it! It’s an indie band that did a cover of “Christmastime is here” (I wanna say it was Eisley, but I don’t know for sure). Either way, the song is beautiful & very melancholy…

When I can figure it out — I’ll ask my sister, she’s the one who introduced me to the song — I’ll let you know! I think it would be perfect to add to this mix (or another one, if you so choose to make one). :}
